Customized Solution – One size does not fit all which
is why we tailor an investment plan to help you reach your personal financial
objectives. We start with a financial planning process which will analyze your
complete financial picture, quantify your goals, and help us understand where
you want to be financially in the future. Your financial plan will offer ways
of meeting your retirement goals, minimizing taxes, preparing for estate planning
needs and saving for education goals. Then we will develop a custom Investment
Policy Statement which directs how your assets will be managed. Lastly we monitor
the Financial Plan and the Investment Policy Statement on an ongoing basis to
review our progress and make adjustments as needed.
Alignment of Interests – We
work under a Fee-Only arrangement exclusively ensuring that our interests are
aligned with those of our clients. There is never any conflict of interest so
you have the peace of mind of knowing that we will always act in your best interest.
We do not sell investment products, accept commissions, or accept any third-party
compensation. Our incentive is to help you meet your financial goals by generating
absolute returns. It’s a partnership, the larger your account grows the larger
our fee grows.
Expense – Hartshorn & Co., Inc. has a very simple advisory
fee structure: 1% of assets under management per year (.25% paid quarterly) for
equity and balanced portfolios under $2 million in assets and 0.75% for portfolios
over $2 million. We offer a separate fee structure for fixed income portfolios
which starts at 0.50% for portfolios under $2 million in assets and 0.35% for
portfolios over $2 million. Our advisory fees are very competitive with the fees
of other advisers and usually below the advisory fees associated with mutual
funds and brokerage firm wrap accounts.
Time - In the United States alone there
are 13,000 publicly traded companies, 197 industry groups, dozens of business
magazines, hundreds of trade magazines, scores of market data services. Keeping
up with this information is a full time job of its own. We manage money for individuals
who prefer to spend their non-work hours with their families or with leisure
activities.
Exceptional Client Service – Our clients work directly with their
portfolio manager, not a sales person or a customer service rep. Communication
is very important in any relationship which is why we like to talk with you as
often as you deem necessary and to meet with you in person at least twice a year.
Each quarter we generate a comprehensive portfolio performance report that shows
all gains and losses so you will know exactly where your portfolio stands. We
will also keep you abreast of the present market environment and communicate
the plan that we have set forth to navigate it. Therefore it is our hope that
